UGH

I have had a great weekend and Monday was a snow day!

Sunday morning as I got ready for church hubby went downstairs to start laundry. I hear "Carole, there is 2 inches of water through our entire basement" OMG!!!! He must be overreacting I thought. Then I went down stairs. Ok he was soooooooooooooooo NOT over reacting. Our Sump Pump over flowed into our entire basement. No church or breakfast club for me! We went to Tractor Supply and bought a new Sump Pump, got coffee and a sandwich at Dunkin Donuts, then we went too work. What a flipping mess. Our basment is full and I do mean FULL of crap. Old shit I should have thrown out 6 yrs ago but couldn't for one reason or another. There is no where to walk when there isn't water never mind now that there is 2 inches of standing water everywhere. Just a mess. We did not lose our pictures. Which is a total blessing! We lost some but not compared to what it could have been. Then it started snowing! So anything we just threw out the hatchway was going to get frozen there for weeeks. We took a break and went to my sisters for dinner. Left the fans going and the pellet stove up on 80. We also left all the lights on. Hubby thinks I am nuts but doesn't mold grow faster in the dark? It cant hurt was my theroy. Picked up a large industrial fan from my BIL and I went to my Tupperware meeting. Came home and the floor in some spots was looking dry. fast forward to 10:35 PM. "I think I should load all that junk onto the trailer like you said, that way we can get rid of it little by little each week" Outside in the snow and cold he went and loaded the trailer. We woke up Monday morning to 12" of the white stuff! It's a good thing he loaded that crap! Thanks Hubby!

All the while he and i are sick as dogs with colds. The moldy wet basment doesnt help. I went to work once our driveway was plowed. School was cancelled so Princess came with me. Went home last night and had Chinese then back to the basment for a couple hours. We still have so much to do and get out fo that basement. I am hoping to start feeling better so I have more energy!

Peace out Girl Scout! (hee hee hee Princess will hate that I wrote that)

Oh what a weekend...first the flood and then snow! I'm glad your hubby loaded the trailer so all your stuff wasn't buried in the white stuff.

Here's to hoping the week gets lots better!
