Weekend in Review

Good Morning!!! Had a good weekend, hope you did too. Saturday morning/afternoon was a bit of a bust. I was sick on the couch most of the day. Watched Made of Honor, What Woman Want, and some other movie that escapes me right now. Then Dinner with Hubby, Son, Jack, April and my perfect niece Emma. My daughter was at a friends house puppy sitting. I had a Fisherman's Platter. It was good. Went to Wal-Mart after that. OMG my boy was a pain in the ass. We looked at costumes and he found one but not in his size. The world has now stopped revolving on its axis!! They don't have his costume. UGH!!! Thank GOD hubby was with me cuz he squashed the fit the boy was about to make. Picked up minimal items and still was over $100. I swear I cant go in there without spending at least $100. I hate unloading and putting away groceries. I went to the store, put them all in the cart, unloaded them onto the belt, paid for them, put all the bags in the car, and then drove home. Is it too much to ask for someone else to grab them from the car and put them away?? Tonight I had help, which was awesome. Then hubby went to work :(....Sunday we woke up got ready and went to Breakfast Club. Hubby doesn't attend. He says Breakfast makes him sick to his stomach, always has. Whatever...We had a great time. Carey and Martin attend as well as my sister and family. It was Carey and Martins 1 year anniversary, as well as the day they went in to have Baby Adam. They were to be induced this morning. lots of good thoughts and prayers out to them!!! Sooo Sunday afternoon my daughter and I went to see The Secret Life of Bees. The book was so much better. When things would happen int he movie that didn't happen in the book. Or they would skip things that happened in the book. My daughter would lean over and say , "Mom that is NOT how it is supposed to happen". It was a good movie, the adaptation of it was just a little different and she did not like that. We walked thru the mall after the movie. One of my clients works at a jewelry store there, so I asked him to clean my ring. He asked what movie did you see and we told him and I said, "the book was better". He said something very interesting to me after that. "You book readers always say that about movies". OK I am not "A book reader" never have been. It isn't until recently that I enjoy a good book. Am I now a book worm? When did that change? Am I growing old? OR am I just growing up? UGH..........So I have to agree with him. I remember seeing movies and other people would tear them down saying crap about the book. I would always think OMG what a pretentious ass, cant they just enjoy the movie for what it is. ...Have I now turned into one of those pretentious asses? Don't answer that. i digress, after the movies we picked up my son from my sisters and then i cooked dinner and had my Mother-In-Law over. I organized my Tupperware and watched the awful Sox game. What a disappointment. On the up side, I am happy for Tampa, having their first trip to the World Series. Have a great morning. Later taters!
